Welcome to my newly designed Sarah E Photography website! I always get so excited once I finish a new design and yet I also get super nervous to hit publish and share it with the world! Lots has changed since the last design – I’ve changed back to a single website to include all the different types of photography I offer, I’ve changed my business colours (sorry purple, you will be missed!) and I’ve gone back to offering photos only – while we loved shooting video, it ended up being too much for our little team of two, and we decided we wanted to go back to focusing on photos.

I want to start by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me and this little business of mine! I can’t believe that this year will be 9 years since I graduated from Prairieview School of Photography. I never could have imagined where this passion of mine would take me. Your encouragement and support means so much to me – I really couldn’t have done this without you. So to everyone who modelled for me in the beginning as I was exploring my style, who had me take their family photos, who trusted me to capture their wedding day, who referred me to their friends and family and everyone who believed in me, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You so much!

While we are in uncertain times right now (who else is dreaming of the day we can travel again and have dinners with friends and family?!?), one thing I know is that we will get through this. Over the last year, this business of mine was hit with many challenges that were beyond my control. Not being able to take photos hurt a lot. And while there was a financial strain, the thing that I missed most was not being able to see people. I missed the annual family photo shoots, seeing all the dancers in their costumes, ready to show off their newest dance pose for me, and seeing couples share their love with all of their families and friends.

The break allowed us to get out and explore this incredible province we live in – I think we saw more this past year than we have in the last 10 years! From Spruce Woods Provincial Park to Riding Mountain National Park it it was great to be outside as much as we could. We also has the chance to travel to Ontario for our annual camping trip at Sioux Narrows Provincial Park.

I’m very grateful for everyone who was able to fit in photos during the times when things opened up again. It truly solidified for me that this is what I am meant to do. And while it is still a bit of a struggle right now, trying to navigate all the rules, knowing that I have so many people believing in me makes it that much easier to continue on! Stay tuned for new blog posts!

There still are a few restrictions, and I’m sure they will change again, but for now I am super happy to be able to connect with you all again! Spring is finally on it’s way and I’m very much looking forward to catching up with everyone.

And for those wondering – Yes I am permitted to continue taking photos (at the time of this post May 12, 2021!). We’re limited to outdoors or in a studio setting right now, but as the days get longer and warmer I’m more excited than ever to see you all again. So if you’re looking on planning a spring/summer/fall wedding this year I still have a few dates open. For those looking to update your family’s photos, I would love to see you all again! Contact me here for more details!!

Stay tuned for more updates, events, and posts! I’ve never been good at keeping my blog up to date, but I’m trying to turn a new leaf and get in the habit of sharing the work that I do. I am so very proud of what I do, and want to try and get over the fear of hitting the “Publish” button!

Stay safe and healthy!
